Video surveillance, virtual adoption, and donor support for a better life for the dogs in the shelter
The Locator BG team carried out a donation initiative for the municipal shelter of Ecoravnovesie – Dog Shelters in Vrabitsa, with the aim of increasing transparency and control in the care of the housed animals.
As part of the initiative, video surveillance cameras were purchased and installed in the dogs’ kennels, as well as GPS devices and cameras in the vehicles used for capturing and transporting the animals.
Transparency and Accountability
The main idea of the project is to ensure real and continuous transparency by providing access to video surveillance for committed volunteers. This allows objective monitoring of the shelter conditions – regular feeding, maintaining hygiene in the kennels, as well as walking routines and the overall treatment of the animals.
How to Get Access
Any volunteer who actively cares for the dogs in the shelter can apply for access to the video surveillance and GPS tracking systems by sending a request to the following email address:

Virtual Adoption
Anyone interested can virtually adopt a dog from the shelter. As part of the virtual adoption, permanent access to the video surveillance of the specific animal is provided, allowing real-time monitoring of its condition and the care it receives.
